St. Chad’s House is in the nearby parish of Leek & Meerbrook. It’s a mid-terrace Victorian house on Southfields, which has been a retreat house since 1998.

The house has a chapel where worship takes place in the Celtic tradition. There is also a growing library, with books on the healing ministry and on Celtic spirituality, as well as some general theology and other subjects. There is also a guest lounge and smaller sitting room where guests can relax, read, or just enjoy the view across Ladydale, a small wooded valley opposite the house.

The house offers:

• a programme of quiet days and contemplative events available to book onto

• bookings for groups, e.g. church away days, quiet days, team days.

St. Chad’s can accommodate up to about 12 people for a day, and there are enough rooms for up to 4 small groups. They can provide a home-cooked lunch for groups coming for the day.
